
Thank you to the members who were able to contribute and attend the First Foodies event of 2025 (pictures attached, appropriately taken in the kitchen). We enjoyed Fresh Veggies and dip, Olive Cheese balls, White Bean Soup, Tomato Basil Soup, Spinach Salad, homemade Sour dough bread, fresh baked Italian bread, and brownies, Key Lime pie.
As we enjoyed the delicious lunch, we had a wonderful discussion on our backgrounds and how our love of cooking/baking came to be. We discovered some talents among us that we plan to share with each other, such as baking Sour dough bread, making Pastry, growing and storing herbs, etc., etc. We have a great list of activities we are considering partaking in this coming year, which include but are not limited to Farmer’s Market Visit, Olive Mill tour, Penzey’s visit, Virtual classes via Sonoma Williams, cooking classes at Sweet Basil, Sur La Table, and a potential visit to the Culinary Institute. As always, we will plan to wrap up the year with what will be our 5th Annual Holiday Cookie Swap. We look forward to meeting in each other's homes and enjoying more great food and cooking conversations.
